Turizmcinin Gazetesi: Could you please introduce us to your background in the Tourism and Hotel industry?
I am an accomplished international hotelier and hospitality instructor with over 18 years of experience in the industry. I hold a Master’s degree in Tourism from Monash University. My professional journey has spanned prestigious hotels like Anantara, Sofitel, Four Seasons, and The Peninsula in various leadership roles such as General Manager, Director of Sales, and Sales Manager.
Alongside my hotel management experience, I have been actively contributing to the education sector as a part-time lecturer at institutions like Dusit Thani College and Assumption University, teaching courses related to Tourism Management, Hotel Sales, and Service.

The future of the hotel industry in Thailand and Asia looks promising, with a few notable trends emerging:
- Experiential Travel: Travelers are increasingly seeking unique and authentic experiences that allow them to immerse themselves in the local culture, cuisine, and traditions. Hotels are responding by curating personalized experiences and partnerships with local communities.
- Sustainable Tourism: Eco-consciousness and sustainable practices are becoming paramount. Hotels are adopting environmentally friendly initiatives, such as reducing plastic waste, conserving energy, and supporting local communities.
- Wellness Tourism: Travelers are increasingly focused on well-being, leading to a rise in wellness-centric hotels, retreats, and offerings like yoga, meditation, and healthy cuisine.

Our important markets span across Thailand, China, the United States, the United Kingdom, and various European countries. While we may not currently have a significant number of guests from Turkey, we warmly welcome and share our hospitality with travelers from all corners of the world, including Turkey. Our goal is to create an inclusive and inviting atmosphere for every guest, regardless of their origin or background.
Turizmcinin Gazetesi: What is the percentage of online bookings via internet for your hotel comparing to the traditional distribution channels?
Regarding online bookings, based on the year-to-date data, around 60% of room nights are booked through online channels (direct and OTAs/TPIs), while the remaining 40% come from traditional distribution channels like wholesale, corporate, and other sources.
